Weekly vacation rental villa near Lucca, Tuscany...
Villa Aquilea's infinity swimming pool is set next to the vacation villa on the hillside, with spectacular views of the river and the rolling hills and villages of the Lucca area.
Designed by noted architect Lorenzo Masini, the pool is 5x10 meters large and uses a state-of-the-art saltwater purification system. It is called an "infinity" pool because the water spills over the edge facing the view. There is a substantial shallow section to accommodate children. There are lounge chairs and, just above, a beautiful seating area under a shaded pergola.

I just wanted to express our deepest thanks for the wonderful holiday and all you did to facilitate it. The next step is to figure out how we can come back! The work you put into restoring Villa Aquilea has resulted in the perfect holiday home. We had a superb time at the Villa and haven’t stopped talking about it. Each of the kids have nominated their stay as the highlight of the holiday. Next time we must stay two weeks so we can fully enjoy the villa and do a little bit of sight seeing…. Julie C., Marrickville Australia (guest 2006)

We had such a good time and thought Lucca was beautiful and your villa was beautiful... Kim N., London England (guest 2005)

We would like to thank you for perfect holiday accommodation in Villa Aquilea. The villa combines in an excellent way modern comfort and traditional building technology. The very thick stone walls ensure a pleasant constant temperature inside, day and night which is much more comfortable than what can be achieved with air-condition in modern buildings. The large bedrooms and the very well equipped kitchens and bathrooms more than met our requirements and expectations. Even if we were 12 people, the house never felt crowded. The terrace with the pergola was definitely the place where we spent most of the time and we were fascinated by the fantastic view of the Lucca valley. We would like to thank you again for the perfect service you offered us during our stay. We hope to be able to revisit Villa Aquilea and will definitely recommend your lovely house to family and friends. Per Gillebo, Oslo, Norway (guest 2004)
Greetings from America. It’s been some time since we communicated. Don’t take that as anything other than it’s like taunting to remember how wonderful a time we had while knowing we won’t be back as soon as we would like… I’ve attached a few photos from our visit for your viewing pleasure. We bragged so much about the Villa that some people actually listened. John B. has a group interested in a couple of weeks next June… Oh, our group is talking about returning in 2008, so don’t go anywhere and please alert the local wineries. Scott S., Indianapolis (guest 2006, returning 2008)

We still talk about our stay quite often. The other day we were sitting around discussing our favorite places, and my dad immediately said “I know what mine is – Villa Aquilea!” Hopefully we will be back before too long. Gail C. Marietta, Georgia (guest 2005)
Aquilea was a dream, and I have passed it on to many friends, including the link to your website... Vincent “Pino” C., New Hope Pennsylvania (guest 2006)
