Villa Aquilea is the perfect place to immerse your group in the beauty of Tuscany.  Please read some more letters from guests who have chosen Villa Aquilea for their group's vacation...

Our family had a wonderful and very special week at Villa Aquilea.  Our lives and locales are such that we have not had the luxury of spending more than a tiny amount of uninterrupted time together for several decades!  My sweet mother was so moved by the Aquilea magic—she was uncertain she could make the trip—she actually cried a little while offering up a toast to our family vacation in Italy…. I fell in love with Tuscany.  I will attempt to learn the language and have every intention of returning, hopefully to Villa Aquilea.  It has a special spirit that can’t be captured in words or photographs.  Tony Bennett left his heart in San Francisco, I left mine at Villa Aquilea.  Thanks for everything.  Fondly, Gennie H., St. Louis USA (guests 2007)

Thought I would let you know that Sharon and I arrived safely back in the US and I am back at work.  The other four couples are all still in Europe - one in Switzerland, one in Spain, and two in Italy.  We all had a wonderful time - the best annual get together we had in the 16 years we've been having them.  The villa exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort, views, and furnishings.   And, the extra efforts the two of you took to make the week an enjoyable one - meeting us on Saturday, the phones, the GPS, the Pizza night, the trip to the blacksmith -- really put the entire experience in a class by itself.  I have already passed on your website to a couple of colleagues interested in future European vacations and I know the others intend to do so as well.  And, don't be surprised to see some or all of us in future years…. Sharon and Jack H., Washington D.C. (guests 2007)

The villa was just outstanding, the view was unbelievable, and the company, was as always, superb.  I will certainly have lasting memories of our stay in Italy:  the pizza party, the blacksmith on the river, the church festival and procession, the autostrada drivers who pass you with just 3 feet of space to spare at 80 mph and use part of your lane to do so, the toll gates that send you off with a cheery “Arrivederci,“ the drive up or down the hill to the villa while passing buses and trucks going the opposite way on the hairpin turns, the wide variety of wine we consumed, Lucca, Florence, Pisa, Cinque Terre, and the rest of Tuscany… the many places we went to and the things we saw.  And, we didn’t lose anyone enroute and no permanent injuries—isn’t that a first for us?   Special thanks also to K. and J. for their personal attention to getting us settled and for all the helpful recommendations on what to see and how to go about it.  The pizza party was certainly a highlight of the week, although I still have flour handprints on my jeans which may never wash out!  I will treasure my knife forged by the blacksmith we visited—a touch of the Middle Ages, or maybe even more ancient.  I think we set a record at the villa in that we didn’t break one wine glass and even added to the glass inventory! …I understand that as a result of our week at the villa, Aquilea will be awarding the villa with the wine bottle recycling volume award for 2007! ...[Y]our suggestion to have evening meals in the villa was an absolute success.  Not only was it infinitely safer than driving up the hill at night after a heavy meal and drinks, but it was a lot easier to enjoy each other’s company in the privacy of the villa, as opposed to being spread out in a restaurant.  All the meals were wonderful and it was always a result of shared teamwork to prepare them and clean up afterwards.  Coming to Italy also gave all of us an opportunity to get out on our own and see things we would have never seen.  So, thanks again to you guys for putting it all together for us and making it an unforgettable adventure!  Paul and Leslie D., Nebraska USA (guests 2007)

Now that we are back home in Florida, we have nothing but wonderful memories of our two weeks at your beautiful Villa Aquilea.  First of all we really appreciated the personal touches that you both added that truly made this vacation memorable.  Having traveled extensively, both for business and pleasure, we know how important the small often overlooked items can be such as soap and toilet paper in the bathrooms not to mention the lovely flowers throughout the house, the bowl of fresh fruit on the kitchen table, the GPS already programmed, the cell phones, the restaurant recommendations etc. etc. etc. and the list goes on. We especially enjoyed J.'s history of the house and area (loved the pastries!). The house was so comfortable and the view so spectacular that we actually wanted to spend time at the villa and exploring the hills rather than driving around sightseeing.... Once again, thank you for all your hospitality.  You have a beautiful villa which clearly shows your love and care.  Good luck with your family.  You can be sure that we will recommend Villa Aquilea to all our friends!  Tom and MaryJane S., (Amelia Island, Florida (guests 2007)

We have just returned home after our amazing trip… Our group of 10 friends have had the most memorable time in your magnificient villa.  The standard of accommodation is superb, the setting unique and the pool fabulous (yes, we swam in late October).  We wish you the best for the future.  We will certainly recommend highly to our Australian friends…  We'll never forget Aquilea… Roger and Sally B., Warabrook, Australia (guests 2006)

We are still talking about our wonderful holiday at Villa Aquilea ...even after two weeks on the beaches of Portugal.  How we love Italy!  I just wanted to thank you for making our stay such a memorable one.  Your attentive service, friendliness, constant travel/day trip suggestions and recommendations, not to mention the comforts of your villa, go beyond compare.  Thank you for absolutely everything and we will continue to encourage other family and friends to pay you a visit in the future.  Lisa and Brett H., London (guests 2006)

I just wanted to tell you what a great time we all had the other week at the Villa the other week. It was probably the best vacation I have ever been on… I would love to plan another trip back to your place sometime. However, I think that my parents are going to beat me there. They are talking about heading out there next year, and I gave the Villa several plugs!! Thanks again for all of your hospitality… Megan O., Chicago (guests 2007)

Thanks again for making our vacation in Italy so wonderful. We had such a great time and only wish we could have stayed longer... Dad still says he just wants to go back over and sit out by the pool and look at the view...Gail C. and 'the Georgia gang', Atlanta USA (guests 2005)

We thank you both so much for creating an amazing place to live and immerser ourselves in Italian culture ... you two have done so much to help people learn about another culture and learn about themselves. J., the time you spent with us doing orientations, pizza nights and fascinating excursions added so much to the experience. We, and our families and friends had unforgettable experiences. We are filled with gratitude for the opportunity you have made for us... Jeff & Holly K., Clarksville MD USA (guests 2009)
